Biography
Stuart W. Snow Sr. received his B.A. in Economics with High Distinction from the University of Virginia in 1979, and his Juris Doctorate from the University of Virginia School of Law in 1982. He was admitted to the Georgia Bar in 1982 and the South Carolina Bar in 1984.
Stuart has been a Certified Family Court Mediator since 2002, helping more than 1,000 litigants avoid the expense, acrimony and uncertainty of trial. He is a past president of the Florence County Bar Association, a former Associate Member of the Board of Law Examiners, and a former Member of the Commission on Continuing Legal Education and Specialization. He is admitted to practice before the Federal Courts of the District of South Carolina, the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals, the United States Court of Federal Claims, and the Supreme Court of the United States, and is also a member of the South Carolina and American Association for Justice. He received the 2023 Ralph King Anderson, Jr. Award from the Florence County Bar for his lifelong advocacy, scholarship and public service.
Stuart is active in the Florence community, having coached youth sports for more than a decade; he is a past Elder and Deacon, and a current member of the Chancel Choir, of First Presbyterian Church.
